AquaOptima AS won contract for supply of  landbased fish farm with recirculation (RAS) to Iran for 20 millions NOK.

AquaOptima has supplied all equipment to a farm for production of Barramundi in South of Iran based on our own technology. The design phase was done during fall 2007 and the equipment was shipped to Iran during summer and autumn 2008. First input of fish is planned to be done spring 2009.

Barramundi is a tropical species that is getting more an more popular in restaurants and supermarkets, and the demand for farmed Barramundi is increasing. The farm in Iran is located by the Persion Gulf and design capacity is 750 tons per year.

AquaOptima has previous experience of design and supply of farms for Barramundi.
